Plugging In the Computer

Set the voltage switch on the back of your computer to the correct voltage, if necessary.

If your computer doesn’t have a voltage switch,

the correct voltage is set automatically

and you can skip this step.

If your computer has a voltage switch,

make sure the voltage switch is set for the voltage

system in your country.

The voltage switch must be set correctly to avoid damaging your computer.

Set the switch to show “115” for AC voltages in

the 100–120 V range. Set the switch to show

“230” for AC voltages in the 200–240 V range.

Your computer may have a voltage switch on the back.

If you need to change the setting, insert a small screwdrive

in this slot and slide the switch.
