Safety.

1 Set a voltmeter to the 10

volts DC scale.

2 Hold the positive probe

of the voltmeter to the

positive battery

terminal and the

negative probe to the

negative terminal.

3 If the reading is not

above 5.7 volts,

recharge (first) or

replace the battery.
