40 Tutorial 1 The Motion Interface

If they are enabled, yellow Dynamic Guides appear automatically when the edges of

your selection align with edges or center points of other objects in the Canvas (or the

Canvas itself). They also appear when an object aligns with the edges of the frame. To

temporarily disable the guides, press Command while you drag, or press N to turn

them on or off.

Note: You can also press Shift+Command+: to toggle the visibility of the Dynamic

Guides.

3 In the Toolbar, choose Dynamic Guides from the View pop-up menu to turn them off

(no checkmark appears).

4 Drag the object around the Canvas.

Notice that no guides appear.

5 Drag one of the corner handles inward to shrink the logo to 80 percent. Press Shift to

constrain the object to its original proportions.

6 Drag the rotation handle to rotate the object.
