300 Mastering DVD Studio Pro
Build and Format
The Build command tells DVD Studio Pro to combine all of the elements of your
project and to create a VIDEO_TS or HVDVD_TS folder, depending on the type
of project you have created. The Format command writes the file to a recordable
DVD, a hard disk, or a digital linear tape (DLT). It gives you more formatting
options than Burn, which is the simplest way to burn a DVD on your own system.
Once you have finished your project, it’s important to test it thoroughly before
you burn a disc. You should use the Simulator often, and you can also emulate
the project with the Apple DVD Player on your computer. If you want to burn
this project, then follow the next few steps.
