Loading discs in the CD-ROM drive

Follow these instructions to load a CD-ROM disc, audio compact

disc, or Photo CD disc into a caddy, then into the drive. After that,

follow the instructions provided with your disc, as well as the

instructions in this book.

1. Open the caddy.

Press in on the corners of the caddy with one hand while you

lift the clear plastic lid with the other hand.

2. Put the disc into the caddy, label side up.

Hold the disc by the edges with the label side up. Try not to

touch the bottom surface of the disc as you transfer it to the

caddy. Tip the leading edge of the disc down as you insert it,

making sure to seat the disc in the groove below the hinge of

the caddy. Close the caddy lid.

S Important: Be sure the disc lies flat in the caddy; if it isn’t

lying flat, the AppleCD 300i won’t be able to read it, and you

may have difficulty ejecting the disc.

The disc must lie flat in the caddy.
