Choosing a Language for an Application Program

If you open a progra

localized in Chinese and it do es not display

enus, dialog boxes,

s in Ch inese characters, you should register the progra

using

the

anguage

egister application.

To register a pro gra

localized in Chinese, follow these steps:

egister prog ra

in the Apple Extras folder.

The

anguage

egister dialog box appears.

2 Choose the language to register the progra

with fro

th e

anguage pop-up

enu:

Traditional Chinese or

pliﬁed Chinese.

3 Click

egister.

4 In the dialog box that appears, locate and select the application you want to register.

5 Click

egister.

6 Click

K in the dialog bo x that appears.

7 Click

K in the

anguage

egister dialog box to

ake Traditional Chine se or

pliﬁed

Chinese the default language used by the

anguage

egister application and to close the

application.

Click C ancel to close t he applicatio n without changing the default language.

To registe r a progra

in the default language, drag the progra

to the

anguage

egister

application. You can

ake copies of the

anguage

egister application with different d efault

languages selected to register progra

You can register a progra

with only one language. If you decide to register a progra

with a

different language after yo u have registered it with Traditional Chinese or

pliﬁed Chine se,

follow this procedure and choo se the language in step 2.

If you change the na

e of a pro gra

after you register it, it will no longer b e registered.

Converting Plug-ins

Plug-ins provide additional features and capabilities to the input

ethods. To create a plug-in

you specify what the plug-in does using a text ﬁle.
