Finding the Input Code for a Character
You can use the Find Input Code dialog box to look up the code for a character. You
m
ight
use this dialog box to look up the
W
ubi Xing or
W
ubi
H
ua keys to enter a character when you
already know the Pinyin spelling to use with the ABC input
m
ode.
To look up the input keys for a character, fo llow these steps:
1 Choose the input
m
ode for the keys to ente r the character that yo u already kno w.

2 Choose Find Input Code fro
m
th e Pencil
m
enu.
The Find Input Code dialog box appears.
3 Press th e keys for the character you want to look up.

The input palette appears as you type.
4 Press the
S
pace bar,
R
eturn, or Enter.
5 If the selection palette appears, select the character you want and press
R
eturn.
The Chines e character appears in the text box in the dialog box .
6 Click the Find button.

If you want to find the code for another characte r, enter it and click the F ind button. The n ew
